I study Cepheid variable stars and their application to the extragalactic distance scale. I am focusing on identifying and reducing systematic errors in their measurements to improve constraints on the Hubble constant.
I am a second year PhD student at the University of Chicago. I am working with advisors Wendy Freedman and Barry Madore as a member of the the Chicago Carnegie Hubble Project (CCHP). In my free time, I enjoy playing instruments, rock climbing, and acroyoga.
My most recent paper investigated Gaia EDR3 distances to Milky Way Cepheids. My current focus is measuring Cepheids in distant galaxies using HST and JWST.
